· Coordinates all aspects of this project.
· Assists in recruitment of committee members, house captains, and volunteer teams.
· Works with Trades Liaison toward assignment of homes to house captains and teams.
· Coordinates detail list and inventory needs in partnership with house captains.
· Coordinates/conducts home visits with homeowner and house captain.
· Works with Public Relations Coordinator regarding creation, organization,
placement and retrieval of team yard signs.
· Coordinates preparation of Labor of Love box for the event day.
Program Secretary:
· Directly assists Program Coordinator in coordinating all aspects of this project.
· Coordinates volunteer team recruitment and waiver/release signatures.
· Compiles master spreadsheet and contact info of teams, homeowners, sponsors, vendors, etc.
· Maintains project file including: Home Owner Documentation, Teams Spreadsheet,
Financial Contributions, etc.
· Completes and submits application for Energy Assistance Foundation Grant.
· Works directly with Lunch Coordinator regarding assignment and delivery of food items.
· Drafts and distributes minutes and communications to committee members via email.
· Assists Team Leaders with distribution of t-shirts.
Trades Liaison:
· Identifies and communicates with the union carpenters; plumbers, electricians and other
skilled tradesmen involved with the project and identifies tasks requiring their attention.
· Assists with home visits and preliminary assessment of needs.
· Works with Program Coordinator toward assignment of homes to house captains and teams.
Public Relations Coordinator:
· Prepares and coordinates all media releases; radio, newspaper, newsletter, website.
· Coordinates all aspects of communications and mailings: Home Owner Applications, Sponsor Forms, Thank You Cards, etc.
· Works with Program Coordinator regarding creation, organization, placement and
retrieval of team yard signs.
· Assists project Program Coordinator in presentations to community groups promoting this project.
· Works directly with vendor regarding design and order of t-shirts.
· Makes follow up calls to all home owners the Monday following project day.
· Communicate any unfinished tasks to the Program Coordinator to coordinate completion.
Clean Up Coordinator:
· Coordinates all aspects related to material disposal including contacting homeowners, city government
and waste disposal service providers.
· Communicates with house captains regarding dumpster placement according to the needs of each home.
· Coordinates smoke alarm and CO detector inspections for all homeowners including battery
replacement and contacting area fire departments for assistance.
· Coordinates purchase of alarms and batteries as needed.
Lunch Coordinator:
· Coordinates all aspects of organizing food and beverages for volunteer teams including contacting
area restaurants to request donation or best price.
· Works directly with Program Secretary regarding assignment and delivery of food items.
House Captains: Many Volunteers Needed
· Coordinates detail list and inventory needs in partnership with Program Coordinator.
· Conducts home visits with homeowner, obtains material estimates and provides summary to the
committee for decision.
· Assists in recruitment of committee members, house captains, and volunteer teams.
· Makes commitment to lead and delegate work tasks to be performed on September 18th, 2010
at the home assigned to their team.
Team Leaders: Many Volunteers Needed
· Assists House Captains in recruitment and motivation of volunteer team members.
· Assists Program Secretary in distribution and retrieval of signed Volunteer Waiver/Release
Forms for team members.
· Assists Program Secretary in determining sizes and number of t-shirts needed for distribution
to team members.
· Makes commitment to work on September 18th, 2010 at the home assigned to their team.
